Bacon and Cheddar Soda Bread

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup buttermilk

2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded or diced

4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled

2 tablespoons parsley (or chives), chopped

Directions

Preheat the oven to 425°F.

Mix everything, form the dough into the desired shape.

Place onto a greased baking pan and bake until lightly golden brown, about 20-30 minutes.

Option: Replace some of the flour with whole wheat flour!

Option: Sprinkle some extra cheese on top.
